Purpose of the surgery
Orchidopexy (undescended testicle surgery) is the process of lowering and fixing the testicle remaining in the abdominal or inguinal canal into the scrotum. The aim is to bring the testicle to a normal position in terms of fertility and cancer monitoring.
How is it done?
It is performed under general anesthesia, inguinal or laparoscopically. It can be unilateral or bilateral. Healing usually allows return to daily activity within a few days.
